You can install Kofax ControlSuite 1.2.0.5 to resolve the issues listed below.

Note: To install Kofax ControlSuite 1.2.0.5 successfully, an existing full installation of Kofax ControlSuite 1.2.0.4 is required.

Equitrac (6.2.3)

1665685 - Printing - Jobs submitted to I-Queue, I-Queue Direct or Managed Queue could not be released to a printer having IPP port.

1664665 - Windows Workstation Client - I-Queue Direct queued the jobs when Network Printing option was not installed.

1663913 - Web System Manager - List of print queues: When the product was upgraded from an earlier version (5.x), and if there was a print queue having not yet supported virtual parents (e-Queue), the list screen displayed an error message 'Internal error' instead of the print queues.

1663628 - Web System Manager - Follow-You Printing screen: Print Servers were not listed if there were more than 255.

1663553 - DRS - If the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 C/C++ Runtime 32-bit was not installed (it was not checked as prerequisite by the ControlSuite installer), authentication with Active Directory credentials did not work.

1663202 - Print tracking - Device clients could not generate correct transactions for documents printed with Xerox Global Print Driver (PCL6) printer driver.

1662862 - CAS - Complex SQL password caused database connection error and not properly running CAS.

1651360 - Web System Manager - The System Dashboard screen displayed incorrect unlicensed state if there were both expired and valid licenses assigned to the product.

Workaround: The expired licenses should be removed from the product.

1650843 - Web System Manager - Rules and Routing management: Watermark, Userstamp, Redirect to Output Manager, and Redirect to AutoStore settings were not saved/loaded.

1649188 - Scanning - If the Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 C/C++ Runtime 64-bit was not installed (it was not checked as prerequisite by the ControlSuite installer), scanning to RightFax was not possible.

1647580 - Web System Manager - Not all Print Queues were listed if there were more than 1000 of them.

1647327 - Embedded Client - The Xerox ECSP Billing Code screen had incorrect resolution on a large-screen device and "Missing required field" error occurred after entering the billing code.

1644573 - Web System Manager - Reports: Custom logos were not used in reports.

1635598 - Follow-You Printing - Server connection error occurred after logout when the "Only release job while user is logged into device" setting was enabled.

1631303 - Web System Manage - Xerox ECSP device could not be initialized using SNMPv3.

1618600 - Scan Client - Information and error popups for scan jobs could not be opened.

Output Manager (5.2.3)

1654926 - LDAP User synchronization could throw an exception if the LDAP server sent an empty list instead of null for a non-existent user attribute. It could also throw an exception if the column mapping did not contain a node for Imported Users or Imported Groups.

1644297 - Under heavy load, when using the RFIDeas Ethernet card reader, the Output Manager DBM service could lock up and become unresponsive.

1639791 - Ad-Hoc Merge on a large number of documents could cause some merges to fail.

1633916 - Under some circumstances, resolved device alerts were not showing up in alerts history until the SNMP service was restarted.

1621597 - Certain zip files were not being unzipped.

1621596 - The EWS source was ignoring emails that arrived with no subject.

1603414 - When receiving documents using a POP3 email source, special characters in the Subject line were sometimes not represented correctly. This was more likely to occur for relatively long Subject lines.

1600063 - Under heavy load, an unhandled exception could occur in the RFIDeas web hosting application. Exception text: "The process cannot access the file '{filename}' because it is being used by another process."

Business Connect (8.2.3)

1676417 - Request to add a link to Kofax Privacy Policy as per Google Play Policy Update - Data privacy and security.

1676398 - iOS app - Request to update the date picker from a wheel style to a calendar style on iOS 14+.

1676395 - Android app - Date picker displayed the current date highlighted in a low contrast color, making it barely noticable.

1676376 - Code security - Unauthorized access to other user's tokens.

1667214 - iOS app - iPad switched to column view on screen rotation.

1665090 - iOS app - Attachment bar detached when selecting activity fields using keyboard arrows.

1663873 - Activity fields scrolling did not work correctly.

1662786 - Business Connect allowed duplicated usernames without domain prefix to login in LDAP mode.

1662329 - Failures in Business Connect app after failover to another server instance.

1661091 - Android app - Displayed a form in 1 column only.

1654574 - In Business Connect 8.2.2, a user could not login in Offline mode.

1642163 - The Input field overlapped the attachment blue bar when keyboard popped up.

1640319 - iOS app - Date picker issue on iOS 14.5.1 (both iPhone and iPad).

1639834 - iOS app - Wheel was missing on date picker on a form.

1639478 - iOS app - App closed while attaching pictures from iCloud to a form.

1638493 - A form in Business Connect app switched between 1 and 2 columns when keyboard was on screen vs. hidden.

1634351 - Android app - Published Android app to Google play in app bundle format.

1633217 - Business Connect Authentication did not detect active user, when duplicate username exists under 2 or more domains.

1632220 - iOS app - Issues were found with the signature field.

1631386 - In the new Business Connect app the text field was blocked by the blue bar with the paper clip.

DWS (10.2.3)

1678462 - The Scan progress dialog was displayed while scanning with Kofax Unified Client. This prevented the user from doing other tasks.

1655475 - Swiping an unregistered card at an HP device with Unified Client access control did not trigger the card registration screen. This issue occurred with Authorization mode set to OFF and ON.

1648852 - Once the user logged in with a card swipe, if the server connectivity was lost, subsequent logins behaved unexpectedly.

1607514 - The Scan Preview default values could not be configured in AutoStore. Request to add the Misfeed detection option as a configurable item in AutoStore.

DRS (8.2.3)

1673198 - Could not use FQDN for Ricoh SOP server addresses or device addresses which starts with numbers.

1622484 - InstallAssistantHelper script was not able to remove the Security Framework service account when it attempted to remove ControlSuite configuration data.

1622475 - InstallAssistantHelper couldn't find the ControlSuite install account it needed to properly remove configuration data.

1621545 - Request to have InstallAssistantHelper script generate console log files under %ProgramData%\Kofax\InstallAssistantHelper folder.

1619915 - Install Assistant prerequsite couldn't detect .NET Core Runtime and hosting bundle version 5.0.

1617085 - Install Assistant in silent command mode asked user if they wanted to uninstall ControlSuite when --UninstallFirst option was not provided which broke silent mode.

AutoStore (8.2.2)

1634348 - Microsoft Office 365 Mail Send icon was missing in certain cases.

1633202 - Zoned OCR issue when no output file was generated.

1631840 - Request to extend Data Filter documentation with example cases for handling keys with null values.

1628637 - SharePoint route issue where export to folder with special characters (# and %) in folder name failed.

1621183 - IMAP/POP3 components no longer required Admin Consent.

1617906 - Sharepoint - Upload successful but task was not completed.

1615536 - Konica Minolta Combined Client A4 devices required a scan setting for Paper Size.

1603142 - iManage Work - User name can be determined by RRT value.

1602131 - Konica Minolta iOption error to retrieving the group membership information.

1594082 - SharePoint - Upload and browse to Sharepoint 365 was slow.

1584159 - Send to Database commponent could not handle values containing apostrophe.

Equitrac (6.2.2)

1633760 - Printing - Jobs submitted to secure queue disappeared after upgrading from CS 1.1.x.

1631467 - Follow-You Printing - Queued jobs were not listed if CAS is offline.

1627081 - DRS localization issues with Konica Minolta Combined Client.

1621688 - Ricoh PCC5 device client - Failback to the original server after a failover caused server errors for several minutes.

1619134 - I-Queue printing - A job could not be released to a printer without specified printer driver.

1616202 - Web System Manager - Data Privacy Reports - If the precision was set to 0, the generated report had no data.

1614647 - Windows Print Client - Issue with the status of print jobs, causing failure to release jobs.

1610329 - Equitrac Public API - Account names containing accented characters caused failure for many API entry points.

1609276 - I-Queue printing - Issue with memory.

1604700 - Mac Client - Messages triggered by a print rule having multiple lines were displayed in one line without line breaks.

1596630 - PJM was timing out when Mac workstation was not available to get jobs.

1595957 - Printing - Force mono rule had no effect for jobs printed with HP Universal Printing Driver using the 'HighQuality CMYK Grayscale mode, the printer used its color cartridge.

Output Manager (5.2.2)

1619406 - SharePoint Destination did not work without a folder.

1616379 - The Output Manager SharePoint Destination failed to support SharePoint online.

1607772 - Missing Byte Order Mark (BOM) with certain email documents. This could result in transform errors in which certain characters, such as an Umlaut, were not translated correctly.

1596592 - Output Manager was unable to get manufacturer and model information from Develop ineo+ devices.

1586637 - The OM DBM could crash while adding a new group from Active Directory.

Business Connect (8.2.2)

1631394 - The Settings icon on the home page of the iPhone KBC app 8.1.5 was to high up and required to be pressed several times to react.

1629375 - iPad devices with IPadOS 14.5 or IPadOS 14.1 with KBC app 8.1.5 could not connect to Business Connect server.

1604848 - Unable to log in from the app when a username contained a space.

1601253 - WebCapture and Business Connect signature fields did not have the same aspect ratio.

1609262 - Equitrac Print Clients - Print rules with custom message containing the 'Full user name' token could not display the full user name.

1604828 - Windows Print Client - Printing to local printer had a long delay if DRC was not installed.

1602535 - Web System Manager - Card Readers Management - 'Card reader' and 'Control terminal' types were not translated.

1602403 - Printing - Colorness of pages in documents having mixed B&W andcolor pages is detected incorrectly in case of PCL5 printer drivers.

1596363 - ShareScan integration - If domain qualification was not set, an additional login step was needed for the ShareScan client on the device, single sign-on was not performed.

1596307 - Web System Manager - Several Chinese translations contained unusable shortcut key or trailing colon.

1596301 - Web System Manager - Follow-You Printing screen - Text 'Number of ports per I-Queue' was translated incorrectly to Simplified Chinese.

1596020 - Web Reports - In place of the reports list a general error message appeared instead of a more meaningful one, if the product did not have license for reporting.

1596006 - Web System Manager - Diagnostics screen - Updating trace settings or downloading trace files for DRC components failed.

1587232 - Printing - If tracking was enabled for both the physical device and device client level, a race condition could cause to unable to process transactions and overloaded DRE.

1570761 - Mac Client - If two jobs were submitted and the first job was released on a printer, the second job was always printed out to the first printer when it was released.

DWS (10.2.1)

1599751 - JBA not deleting jobs with ECSP Xerox.

1551070 - AutoStore external application requireed login when being configurated to use Equitrac Fuji Xerox ECSP login credentials.

DRS (8.2.1)

Install This Fix Pack

Use the following procedure to install the fix pack.

Note: It is important that devices are not being used while deploying this fix pack.

  1. Extract the contents of KofaxControlSuite-1.2.0.5.0.4.zip.
  2. Upgrade DRS to the corresponding version in ControlSuite 1.2.0.5 if you are running an earlier version.

    Refer to Kofax ControlSuite Web Help for more details.

  3. Run the new CSDWS.msi installer provided with this fix. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Run Kofax Configuration Assistant and follow the on-screen instructions to set up ControlSuite components.
