Introduction

ControlSuite 1.3.0 Fix Pack 1 (1.3.0.1) is required for Ricoh Unified Client 1.3 / PCC 5.3 and HP Unified Client 1.3.

You can install Kofax ControlSuite 1.3.0.1 to resolve the issues listed below.

Note: To install Kofax ControlSuite 1.3.0.1 successfully, an existing full installation of Kofax ControlSuite 1.3.0 is required.

General ControlSuite

1782330: Updated the Flexera licensing library to remove the dependency on log4j.

AutoStore

1775940: Ricoh SOP - When using the SharePoint Form, the User could not see all the sites they have Contribute permissions to.

Equitrac

1794484: Equitrac Web Client - Login - When using identity provider authentication, the User Dashboard application was not accessible if the user did not have an 'admin' role but had a 'user' role.

Device Web Server (DWS)

1799292: Xerox Unified Client - Send to Email Form - When the To field was clicked, it automatically performed the LDAP lookup before a value was entered.

1788314: Konica Minolta Unified Client - When a device failed to register in DWS, an "Unexpected subelement IpFax" error displayed.

1784597: Xerox Unified Client - Any List field with more that 50 items displayed a "Cannot connect to server" error.

1683483: HP Unified Client - LDAP limitation after upgrading from CS1.1 Fixpack 4 to CS 1.2 Fixpack 2. When the maximum contacts in the Send to Email form is set to 100, an error displayed on the device that it cannot connect to the server.

Device Registration Service (DRS) 8.3.1

DRS 8.3.1 or higher only supports Unified Client for Ricoh 1.3 / PCC 5.3, and does not support Unified Client for Ricoh 1.0 / PCC 5.0, Ricoh UC 1.1 / PCC 5.1 or Ricoh UC 1.2 /PCC 5.2.

1796018 - Updated DRS was required to improve the device deployment.

1774453 - DRS 7.13.0.4 - Group device - Application was not updated for each child device after it was updated for the group.

1763914 - DRS 7.13.0.4 - DRS status returned a "No response" message when the user registered a group device.

1762840 - ControlSuite 1.3.0.1 - There was a vulnerability with CVE-2021-44228 in DRS 7.13.0.3.

1733219 - Canon Unified Client - Configuration failed after exporting/importing CSV files, and then performing the "Configure" action.

1733216 - Legacy - Konica Minolta Combined Client - "Application Name" on DRS was lost when exporting/importing CSV files.

1732901 - Legacy - Konica Minolta Unified Client - Unknown errors displayed after exporting/importing a CSV file and performing the "Install & Configure" action.

1729133 - Legacy - Lexmark - Unknown errors displayed after exporting/importing a CSV file and performing the "Install & Configure" action.

1715364 - Ricoh SOP - SFP device 8400 - After a successful logon, the device automatically went back to the "Welcome" screen.

1701602 - Request to improve DRS for responsiveness issue.

1700454 - Ricoh SOP 1.30.245 - Full Installation revieved a 401 error "Home key setting not supported on device."

1680995 - DRS 8.2.2.56 - Inconsistent behavior between clients when DRS saved hostnames with spaces in the Address field.

1678689 - HTML/Java script in the device Address field was updated and saved.

Install This Fix Pack

Use the following procedure to install the fix pack.

  1. Verify that the following applications/services are not running.
  2. Note: For best results, install the fix pack during off-peak processing hours.

  3. Extract the contents of KofaxControlSuite-1.3.0.1.zip on the computer where Kofax Sample Product is installed.
  4. To install the fix pack, double-click KofaxControlSuite-1.3.0.1.exe.

    The fix pack installer screen appears.

    1. Click Next to proceed with the installation.
    2. Follow the instructions on subsequent installer screens.
  5. When prompted that the installation is finished, click Finish.
  6. Restart any applications/services that were stopped prior to installing the fix pack.

Remove This Fix Pack

Use the following procedure to remove the fix pack.

  1. Verify that the following applications/services are not running.
  2. Note: For best results, remove the fix pack during off-peak processing hours.

  3. In Control Panel, select Programs and Features > View installed updates.
  4. On the list of updates, in the Name column, select the item that corresponds to Kofax ControlSuite 1.3.0.1.
  5. Right-click and select Uninstall.

  6. Restart any applications/services that were stopped prior to removing the fix pack.
