Performance impacts
- Concurrent Connections - The number of devices, workstation clients and mobile devices connecting to the server at the same time will impact performance.
- Equitrac iQueue can impact performance if it is heavily used as jobs are printed in an XPS format then converted to a native print driver format on the machine. This conversion process can take additional processing power and memory.
- SQL Server - It is recommended that the SQL Server be loaded on a different machine, or that Azure SQL is used. SQL Servers installed on the same machine as ControlSuite will compete for resources.
- Transformation - Document transformation can take CPU and memory based on the overall complexity, size and volume of the documents being transformed. Another server may be required if transformations are used.
- OCR - Document OCR can take CPU and memory based on the overall complexity, size and volume of documents being OCRed. Another server may be required if OCR is used.
- Workflow complexity - Capture workflows can impact document throughput depending on the complexity of the workflow and document destinations.
- File complexity and volume - File size, complexity and volume for both print and capture workflows can impact the overall performance of the solution. Organizations processing large, complex or high volumes of documents may need to add additional server resources to their ControlSuite solution.
- Token Vault requires another SQL database and more traffic to the server which could impact overall performance.
