Install the DWS with eCopy ShareScan

After installing the standalone Device Web Server (DWS) on a different server than eCopy ShareScan, the Device Registration Service (DRS), and before configuring the Unified Client for Epson in DRS, complete the following steps to install the DWS:

  1. Download the DWS software from the Kofax Downloads Web site (https://delivery.kofax.com).
  2. Select and run the installer file to launch the Setup Wizard.
  3. From the Welcome screen, click Next to begin the installation process.
  4. Read and accept the terms of the Kofax End User License Agreement , and then click Next.
  5. From the Destination Folder screen, accept the default installation folder or click Change to select a new folder.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Click Install, and then Finish to complete the installation.
In DRS, on the Epson Unified Client Service Details screen, update the Server configuration – eCopy only field to point to the DWS server.
