VSV
Visual Signature Verification, possibly in two levels (VSV1 and VSV2). VSV basically covers the comparison of two signature images.
VTV
Visual technical verification (for cheques), possibly in two levels (VTV1 and VTV2). VTV basically covers date and amount checks. With amount checking the amount in digits is compared to the amount written as a word. With date checking is determined whether the date of issuance is in the future or whether it is valid, if it is in the past.
TWAIN
TWAIN is a standard software protocol and application programming interface (API) that regulates communication between software applications and imaging devices such as scanners and digital cameras.
Portable Document Format (PDF) is the file format by Adobe Systems in 1993 for document exchange. PDF is used for representing two-dimensional documents in a device-independent and display resolution-independent fixed-layout document format.
