This topic provides details about the IBM FileNet Content Manager folder properties, which apply to the Destination Settings tab.

Folder Class

You must select the IBM FileNet Content Manager folder class from the Folder Class area to see the associated IBM FileNet Content Manager folder properties.

Folder Name Property

The Folder Name property is used to specify a name for your exported folders. However, if the folder name resolves to a NULL value at export time, the document is rejected and routed to the Kofax Capture Quality Control queue. The Folder Name property is a required property.

The folder name cannot contain the following characters: Asterisk (*), Backslash (\), Colon (:), Greater than sign (>), Less than sign (<), Pipe (|), Question mark (?), Quotation marks ("), and/or Slash mark (/). In addition, the export connector does not support duplicate folder names at the same level.

Binary and Object Properties

Binary and Object properties are not supported.

• If the Binary and/or Object properties are not required and are part of the selected folder class, the properties will be hidden.

• If the Binary and/or Object properties are required and are part of the selected folder class, you receive an error message at export setup. In addition, you are not be able to select the folder class.

Choice List Properties

IBM FileNet Content Manager Choice List properties are supported. To enable exporting to the IBM FileNet Content Manager object store, you must know the choice list values and link appropriate Kofax Values to the Choice List properties.

Multiple Values

When entering multiple values for the document properties, you must use a delimiter to separate the values for visual clarity. For example, if you specified a single semicolon (;) delimiter for the multi-value separator, you would enter the following:

apple;orange;pear

Note the following:

• You can enter spaces between the entries to separate the values. However, the spaces appear before the values. For example, if you enter the following into the export connector (assuming that you specified a single semicolon as the delimiter):

  May; June; July

  The export connector exports the following values. Notice that a space (represented here by an underscore) appears before the values June and July.

  May

  _June

  _July

• If a single value is linked to a multi-value separator, the entire string is used as the value.

• You can enter additional delimiters between the values to indicate empty or NULL values. For example, let's say that you entered the following into the export connector (assuming that you specified a single semicolon as the delimiter):

  bowling;fishing;;golfing;;;racing;swimming

  The export connector exports the following values:

  bowling
  fishing
  golfing
  racing
  swimming

  Note If the Multi-value separator field resolves to an empty or NULL value, the value is converted to an empty string when exported to IBM FileNet Content Manager. However, the following IBM FileNet Content Manager data types do not accept empty strings: Boolean, DateTime, Float, ID, or Integer.

Required Properties

All required Content Manager document properties must be linked to Index fields, Batch fields, or Kofax Values. Required document properties are marked with an asterisk (*).
