Importing Files into a Job

When importing files, consider the following:
  • To import a TIFF file, use only uncompressed, Group3/1D, Group3/2D, or Group4 images. Other forms of TIFF compression are not supported.

  • To submit files in formats other than TIFF to Kofax Capture, make sure that the import options for the batch class are configured correctly.

  • Flash is required to import multiple files.

The imported pages are added to the end of the job. You can change the order of the pages as shown in Reordering Pages.

Importing Files with Flash

If you have Flash installed on your computer, you can import an individual file or up to 100 files at one time.

  1. Click Active Jobs to go to the Active Jobs List.

  2. Click Import.

  3. In the Import File window, click Browse.

  4. In the file selection window, navigate to the folder you want and select the files to import. Press Ctrl while clicking to select multiple files or press Shift while clicking the last file of a range. The files are added to the “File Name” field. If you had selected multiple files, each file name is enclosed in quotes.

  5. Click Open.

A job is created for each file you import. The Destination column shows None to indicate that a shortcut has not been selected for the job. Edit or submit the job to select a shortcut.
