Ehcharset.ini contains character sets and other settings for interpretation of different languages. It also specifies which Microsoft Windows code page is used.
Default location:
In Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 SP2: The Entrance root directory, normally C:\Program Files\ReadSoft\INVOICES
In the newer operating systems: C:\Users\Public\ReadSoft\INVOICES
If you specified a different directory during installation, you can find the location by checking the GlobalPath setting in Eilocal.ini.
Important: In order for Kofax Invoice Automation to be able to interpret a character that appears on a document, the character must be defined for the character set being used. The character set that Kofax Invoice Automation uses when interpreting documents is specified in the settings in the dialog.
The main initialization files (INI files) that are installed with Kofax Invoice Automation are in Unicode format instead of ANSI. Plug-ins used with Entrance must take this into account if they read those INI files. If Kofax Invoice Automation finds an INI file in ANSI format, it converts the INI file to Unicode.
