Use this window to add a new validation method and to define its type using the following options:

Name

Type a name for the validation method.

Tip For the best results, use a name that includes information about the validation method type. This helps you and other project administrators differentiate the validation methods when configuring extraction. For example, preface your locator with "DL_" for database locators, or "FL_" for format locators.

Type

Select a validation method.

Depending on the selected validation method one of the following properties windows is displayed.

• Standard Validation. This is the default value for this option.

• Date Validation.

• Regular Expression Validation.

• Single Field Script Validation.

• Multi-Field Script Validation.

• Invoice Field Validation.
