Click the Edit Object tool at Edit > Modify, then select text within the editable area whose attributes need to be changed. Right-click the text and choose Properties from the shortcut menu.
To edit text attributes
Click the Text tab to change the text attributes:
Font Name
Select any font installed on your system or fully embedded in the PDF document. Document fonts are listed at the top, system fonts below.
Font Size
Select a font size for the selected text.
Character and Word Spacing
Specify spacing values between characters and words.
Scaling
Specify the proportion between the height and width of the typeface. This yields expanded or condensed text.
Baseline Offset
Specify the text offset value from the baseline. This yields subscripted or superscripted text.
Fill Color
Select the font color of the font.
Stroke Color and Stroke Width
Select a color and width for the character outline. This is useful for large titles.
The Tag and Content tabs become active only for tagged PDF files.
When you select a text block, a floating icon appears above the selection. Click it to open a toolbar with many other tools.
You cannot edit text in a read-only page, it this case the only possible selection is the whole page. To edit text first make it searchable.
The Edit Object tool also works on objects. The only setting there is to define the picture editor -- do this under File > Options > Edit Object.
