About Cloud Connectors

Power PDF supports Cloud storage of PDF and other files. This allows files to be accessed from multiple devices (mainframes, laptops, phones, tablets, etc.) and similarly uploaded. File contents are synched for all devices.

Supported Cloud Connectors are:

In Power PDF Standard, Dropbox and Evernote are installed automatically, NCC can be installed or not - it allows access to a wide range of storage sites - see below.

In Power PDF Advanced, no connectors are installed automatically, you must run a Custom install and enable the ones you want. Microsoft SharePoint is also available, as well as all supported Document Management Systems that already have an installed component on your computer. The NetDocuments cloud site is offered as a DMS group for file upload only.

These cloud sites are accessed via the Connectors ribbon; each connector or DMS has its own group. These storage sites require registration and provision of user ID and a password for each operation. Only the Nuance Cloud Connector allows registration and connector management from inside Power PDF.

Available actions are:

Open file from storage.

Save file to storage.

To insert pages from storage, go to Home > Pages > Insert, click the button Open from DMS and choose the desired site.

Each site requires login, but can then be accessed freely until Power PDF is closed. After registration and log in, the Nuance Cloud Connector can remain available through multiple sessions, if it is enabled in the Windows taskbar or notification area.

You can temporarily disable and re-enable installed Connectors from File > Options > Connectors > General.

In Convert Assistant, files can be opened from storage sites via the File menu; converted files can be saved to these sites from the DMS list box in the Output Format panel.

In Create Assistant, files can be opened by clicking the Add button and choosing Add from DMS; created PDF files can be saved to cloud sites by clicking the Saving button, choosing Save to DMS and selecting the desired Connector or DMS.
