The Capture Assistant opens once scanning is started (provided the Show Capture Assistant checkbox is turned on in the Scan or Get Photo pane).
When the PaperPort – Scan dialog is displayed, you can decide to continue scanning (Scan More Pages or Scan Other Side), or finish scanning (Done).
The Subject, Author and Keywords fields will be filled in automatically from the destination folder’s notes if the Automatically apply Folder Notes option on the Output tab is turned on. If this option is turned off, these fields will be blank; you can enter values manually.
Note
These three fields are enabled only if the file type in the profile is PDF.
Document Name: PaperPort automatically generates the document name using the “Item name” settings from the Output panel. You can modify this document name if required.
Click the Scan More Pages button if you want to add more pages to the document(s). This could be necessary if, for example, the ADF cannot hold all the pages for a document file.
Use the Scan Other Side button if you are scanning double-sided documents. First put one side of all pages in the ADF then turn the entire stack over and click the Scan Other Side button to scan the reverse sides. PaperPort will interleaf the pages.
Click the Done button when you have finished scanning all the needed pages.
Note
If you press Scan More Pages or Scan Other Side, the content of the Document Name field is not stored. If the Capture Assistant is displayed again for the same scan session, this field will not contain the changes you made earlier.
