This feature is available only in PaperPort Professional.
DesktopDelivery monitors network or local folders for incoming files of specified types (PDF, TIFF, JPEG and MAX). It can also monitor e-mail folders for attachments. It imports these files to specified PaperPort DesktopDelivery folders. Overall settings for DesktopDelivery are done with the DesktopDelivery Manager.
A Desktop Delivery icon
appears in the System tray. Right-click it for a shortcut menu. Choose Settings to display the DesktopDelivery Manager. To exit the program with your settings saved, click Close.
DesktopDelivery can be set to deliver to any of your PaperPort folders. One external monitored folder can have multiple DesktopDelivery Folders assigned to it, but one Desktop Delivery Folder cannot be linked to multiple external folders.
DesktopDelivery folders do not have their own icon; assigning a distinctive folder color to them makes them easy to spot.
MAX files can be delivered and are readable, along with any annotatations and metadata. MAX files can no longer be modified – these files must be saved to a different format, typically PDF, in order to make them editable. See: The MAX to PDF Converter.
