If a photo exhibits the red eye effect, you can use the Remove Red Eye feature to improve the quality of your image.
Display the image item in the Image View window.
On the View ribbon, choose 
Zoom In to enlarge the image so
that you can easily select the eye area.
On the Page ribbon, choose 
Select Area.
Select the area from which you want to remove the red eye effect.
On the Page ribbon, choose Remove Red Eye.

Choose Remove Red Eye from the shortcut menu.
Note
This button works only with color images.
