Rotating an item is useful when you inadvertently scan the item upside down or sideways and want it in the upright position.
You might also want to quickly rotate several pages in a single batch operation, or change the original direction of an image to create a different impact.
Using the Rotate feature, you can repeatedly rotate items 90 degrees or flip them 180 degrees.
You can also auto-orient pages when scanning with a scan profile, so text appears right-side up.
Select one or several items you want to rotate.
On the Item ribbon, click the arrow next to
Rotate and then choose
Left,
Right
or
Half
Turn.
All pages in the item are rotated.
Display the image item in the Image View window.
On the Page ribbon, click the arrow next to
Rotate and then choose
Left,
Right or
Half
Turn.
Tip
Before you rotate a page with annotations, you should temporarily remove annotations.
On the Edit ribbon, choose
Select All in
the Annotations group and
Cut in
the Clipboard group. Next, rotate the page, and then
click
Paste in the Clipboard group to
put the annotations back on the page.
On the Scan or Get Photo pane, select a scan profile that should contain auto-rotating.
Click Settings and the SET tab.
On the SET panel, turn on Auto-orient. Then click OK.
Auto-orient works best on images containing text. If this is detected sideways or upside down, the image is rotated to correct it.
