To embed sound files into your PDF
Choose the Sound tool from Edit > Insert > Sound. WAV and MP3 are accepted.
Select a page area.
Specify Content Settings. This includes
Media compatibility: choose compatibility level
Location: browse to the file to be added
Content type: set application or audio type.
Mark the checkbox Embed media in document to save the added file into the PDF.
Choose to have a cover for the audio content, if desired.
Click OK.
Use the Hand tool to play the audio file and to add the current PDF to the list of trusted documents.
To modify multimedia settings, actions and appearance, select the Sound tool again, right-click the embedded content and choose the desired command.
If you do not embed the sound file, it is linked – both the PDF and the sound file must remain in their locations for the link to work.
You can also attach a WAV sound as a comment.
