Connectors – Preferences
This page appears as you click File->Options, then select Connectors in the list.
This page has subsequent pages for all cloud and DMS connectors installed. If you do not find a page for a supported connector, refer to Power PDF Getting Started Guide. The Important integration notes section in the Installation chapter details how to add and remove connectors.
Connector-specific pages other than the iManage Work page consists of the following sections:
- List of accounts already in use. The list displays columns, such as Name or Email Address, specific to the provider.
- Account handling buttons:
- Click Add Account to start the provider-specific login screen, then enter your credentials and connect Power PDF to the cloud service. For iManage-specific details, see Add iManage server and set session cache.
- Click Remove Account to delete the selected account. You can remove only accounts with no opened documents.
- Sync Save setting: Select this check box to save the document to the server as the user clicks Save on the Quick Access Toolbar or selects File > Save in the menu. If you clear this setting, Power PDF saves the document locally and only syncs when the application closes.
Select the preferred iManage connector
Power PDF offers two connectors for iManage: iManage and iManage Work. You can deploy one iManage connector, or both of them.
If both connectors are set up, Power PDF uses the iManage connector by default when opening PDF documents in iManage clients.
To override this setting, go to File > Options > Connectors > iManage Work, then select Prefer the iManage Work connector when opening a PDF document from iManage clients to ignore the default iManage connector and use the iManage Work connector when opening PDF files in any iManage clients.
Add iManage server and set session cache
When you add an iManage account on the Connectors page of the Options dialog box, or Power PDF turns to iManage for the first time, you should add a server.
- If iManage Work Desktop is set up on the computer, and the iManage server is registered already in Microsoft applications, Power PDF asks whether you would like to import the server URL from it. Click Yes to import the server URL. In this case, proceed with step 4 below.
- If you did not import a server URL, a dialog box appears. In the Web address box, enter the server URL.
- Optionally, clear the Use credential cache check box if you want to provide credentials each time you handle iManage documents in Power PDF. This setting is active by default, so your credentials are cached, and you log in automatically until you restart your computer.
- Click OK.
- Provide your iManage server credentials.
