The  Logging Configuration dialog - Email log properties

To access this dialog:

Use this dialog to edit or view existing log configurations:

General

Log type

Displays Mail log as the selected log type. This property cannot be changed.

Description

Describes what the log file is used for.

Level

Determines how much information is provided:

  • 1 - Error: (least information)

  • 2 - Information

  • 3 - Debug: (most information, resulting in the largest logs)

Email log > Settings

To

The email address to which the log is sent.

From

The email address from which the log is sent.

Mail server

The name of the computer that hosts the mail server.

Port

The port used for SMTP.

Note: This setting should only be changed if a different port than the default SMTP port (25) is used.

User

The name of the user used to access the mail server.

Password

The password used in connection with the specified user.

Subject

The text that is put in the subject line of the email that contains the log text.

Integration with Outlook for MAPI mails

Adds a link in the email log to the corresponding original email where the error occurred.

Notes

  • Resulting links will not work if you run Interpret as a Windows service.

  • Resulting links only work on the same computer where the email was interpreted.

  • This can only be used when receiving emails using MAPI.
