Page logic rules

This information can be useful when you are specifying page logic for a document specification.

In a document hierarchy, the page logic that you specify for a parent document determines the type(s) of logic allowed on its sub-document(s). If the page logic of a sub-document violates what is allowed, a warning message is displayed.

Likewise, if the page logic of a parent document is incorrectly changed, a warning message is displayed.

The main rule to remember is that a sub-document (and layouts in a document) must have at least as many pages as the parent document.
