Creating a program object and specifying its properties are two separate steps. This topic covers the creation process.
Generally, you use Capture Components Administration to create program objects in one of two ways:
Objects such as tables, users, and user groups on the system level, and batches basically require one step during creation. The desired object is created from a menu option (from either the main menu or from a shortcut menu), and the object appears in the list with the name in focus so that it can be edited directly.
When creating certain objects, the solution (or one of its parts) must first be selected in the left pane, which results in an extra step. Then you can select > > .
When you create new solutions, or solution-specific objects such as documents, fields, and classifiers, a dialog for creating the new object is displayed. There you need to adjust settings that tell the program how to create the (for example, whether the object is a specific type, uses the system default, or is based on a template or an existing object). After you select the appropriate options, the object is displayed in the right pane and can be edited.
