The Interpretation activity interprets data from your documents. Interpreted values are saved as text fields in XBOUND documents, regardless of the field format specified in Capture Components Administration.
Note: Before you configure any process step, you must first:
Add a Management Center console.
Create a client.
Create a process.
Please refer to XBOUND Help for instructions.
If you have not already done so, import a solution from Capture Components Administration.
Add the Interpretation activity to the XBOUND Process Designer. (Refer to XBOUND Installation Guide or XBOUND Help for instructions.) The DLL to select is xboundActExtract.dll.
Assign the Interpretation activity to at least one instance of the XBOUND Activities Service. (Refer to XBOUND Help for instructions.)
Add the Interpretation activity as a step in a process. It must be placed after the Classification activity.
Right-click the activity and select .
Under , select the solution you want to use for this activity.
Important: In a process that uses Knowledge Processing, all activities prior to the Knowledge Processing step must use the same

Select this option only when you need information about individual characters. That is the case when you want to rubberband not only entire words but also parts of words during Verification, for example.
This option creates a character object in the data model for each character. When this option is not selected, the characters are saved as a string in the corresponding Word object.
Warning: This option significantly increases the memory requirements during Interpretation and Verification.
