The Validate classification dialog

ClosedTo access this dialog:

  1. Open the document specification editor.

  2. While on the Classification tab, click the main specification in the Document hierarchy.

  3. In the right pane, click the Sample documents tab.

  4. Select one or more sample documents, and click Validate.

Use these settings to validate document specifications using sample documents:

Match against current and child document specifications only

Uses the selected sample documents to validate the current document specification and any child specifications.

Match against all document specifications in batch

Uses the selected sample documents to validate all documents in the specified batch. Also performs a cross-validation to ensure that the samples do not match other document specifications, which could result in mismatches.

Start

Starts the validation process, displaying the progress in the box below the button.

Stop

Stops the validation process.

A table displays the results and the following information for the sample documents used for validation:

Displayed for all results that are not OK.

Document name

The name of the sample document.

Guess

The guess number. If a document matches more than one specification, guesses are displayed in order of greatest confidence, with guess 1 being the closest match, 2 the next closest, etc.

Result

The results of the validation:

  • OK – validation is successful.

  • Uncertain – classification confidence is too low for a certain match.

  • No guess – no matching specification found.

  • Mismatch – classification matches an incorrect specification.

  • Incorrect number of pages – matches the document specification but not its page logic.

Confidence

The classification confidence in percent.

Matches

The document specification that the sample document matches.

Should match

The document specification that the sample document should match.
