Specifying how the Production service logs on

To ensure that only authorized users can run services, and that they have the proper user rights, specify log on information for the service. These steps are required if Windows authentication is enabled.

You must have administrator rights on the PC in order to perform this procedure.

1. Select Start menu > Control Panel> (View By Icons >) Administrative Tools>Services.

2. In the Windows Services dialog, right-click ReadSoft Production and select Properties.

   

3. On the Log on tab, select This account.

4. Type your Windows user name (preceded by <domain name>\).

5. Enter and confirm your password.

   Log on as:

   Allow service to interact with desktop:

   Cancel

   OK

   Help me configure user account log on options.

   Confirm password:

   Recovery

   Log on

   Local System account

   General

   Browse...

   ReadSoft\John Doe

   Apply

   This account:

   Password:

   Dependencies

6. Click Apply.
