Your DOCUMENTS installation may come with table field templates. Basing new table fields on these templates gets you off on the right start. They help you create table fields quickly, rather than configuring new field templates or specifications from the scratch.
Table field templates contain references to one or more field templates. For example, the line-item table field template contains the Line Item Quantity field template, the Line Item Unit Price field template, and other so on.
When you create a table field specification based on a table field template, you can edit its settings without affecting the template. The original table field template and field templates are not affected. In order to edit table field templates, select expand on the and select the template you want to edit.
You can create a table field based on pre-existing table field templates. The table field templates in your installation depend on the kind of DOCUMENTS solution your organization purchased. Table field templates exist for line items for invoices from different countries, address tables, and other types of tables.
