Creating a document template

In order to create your own templates, special licensing is required.

Document templates save time when you need to use the same, or similar, document with many solutions.

  1. On the Configuration tab of the Administration module, expand Templates.

  2. Right-click Documentsand select New user-defined document template.

  3. In the Create a new document template dialog:

    • Select Copy content from a template to use a previously created template as a model for the new template. Then click OK.

    • Or, simply click OK to create a new template based on the system default.

  4. Type a name for the template (max. 80 characters) and press Enter.

Note: When you add a rule to a document or other object, you must use "{" and "}" to delimit any document or field names that contain spaces and other non-alphanumeric characters. Therefore, avoid using these two characters in object names.

  5. Double-click the new template and edit as desired in the document specification editor.
