SCSI

Small Computer Systems Interface, a standard interface used to connect peripheral equipment (hard disks, CD-ROM, scanners) to PC’s. SCSI allows direct connection to the internal data bus, resulting in a very fast data transfer rate.

You can scan with SCSI cards, USB, or FireWire when ISIS drivers are used.

Certified scanners with a SCSI interface can also be used and are fully functional with DOCUMENTS using a USB interface, if they have USB in addition to SCSI.

Although Kofax cards are also SCSI cards, their behavior and available settings are quite different, so they are documented separately in this help file.
