While a user is working with FORMS, the objects the user is working with are locked in the database. This prevents other users from changing the object.
Also, if any of the FORMS modules causes a program error, or if there is a power failure while FORMS is in use, some of the forms can become locked.
If it is necessary to manually unlock objects, use this procedure:
Using the Manager, select ð Unlock databases.
Click Start to begin the process. The program reads all objects and unlocks locked ones. For each database, the display shows the number of objects read and the number of objects unlocked.
Note: Unlocking databases can take some time if the database is large.
