Snippet mode is an option for an Interpret job description. Use it only when you have written an external program that delivers an image file containing the image of only one field. This specific field is interpreted but normally not verified by FORMS. The interpreted field value is normally immediately returned to the external program by an event.
To activate snippet mode:
Keeping the following in mind, open or create a job description with which you want to use snippet mode:
The job description must consist of only one form definition.
Besides the adjustment fields, the form definition must contain only one field. (And in this special case, the form definition does not need adjustment fields at all.)
On the Interpret tab of the job description dialog, select External as the Form source.
Click Options, select Use snippet mode, and click OK.
Note: The job description is to be run in Interpret only, not in any other production modules.
