In the Scan job description, you can click Storage and choose your preferred method of storing scanned documents. Storing forms in the database is the usual method of storage, and it is selected by default. Generally, it is a good choice if most of the scanned forms are to be interpreted and if the scanners are fast.
After identification, the filled-in fields are "cut out" and saved in FORMS’ image database. Interpret then uses this database as its source of data. Certain information about the form is also saved in the form database.
This option requires the least disk space, since only the filled-in fields on each form are saved. However, FORMS’ image database quickly increases in size if the forms have many fields, slowing the Scan process. Therefore, if you have a slow computer combined with a fast scanner, we recommend that you use the second alternative instead.
