Clicking the New batch button in the Operator control dialog can cause errors with some scanners. This occurs more often with scanners that have Virtual ReScan enabled.
If your scanner has this problem, you can disable the New batch button to avoid further problems. Use this procedure:
Open Ehglobal.ini and find the [ScannerDefs] section.
Find your scanner’s name in the list of scanner definitions.
Change the BatchStop value on your scanner from 1 to 0.
Save and close Ehglobal.ini. The next time you run Scan, the New batch button will be disabled.
