In normal mode (also known as full-screen mode), the entire form is shown on the screen, rather than only the field with the selected status or error. The dialog moves around the screen to each field as necessary, with red lines between it and the current field.
Characters with Interpretation error status are represented by a selected asterisk (*) in the value string, as they are in fast verify mode, and the corresponding character in the field is highlighted.
Tip: While working in normal mode, you can double-click any field you see on the form at any time to see and edit the value FORMS interpreted for it.
Unless you select Verify from image file, in normal mode the form shown on the screen is actually a composite consisting of a template plus field images. The background is the one upon which the form definition is based, while the field images are cut from the actual scanned form and pasted onto the template. This is why, if two form definitions with identical adjustment fields are included in the same job description, FORMS can paste the fields on the wrong form definition, creating confusion when you see the image on the screen. Troubleshooting: Verify displays interpretation errors in the same way as interpreted asterisks
