You can import TIFF files and PDF files that contain more than one image each. These are called multi-image (or "multi-TIFF" for TIFF format) files.
A multi-image file may contain:
Images from up to 999 single-page invoices.
The images from one or more multi-page invoices.
These invoices can be multi-page invoices or invoices with appendices. Back pages, if any are included, are handled as if they were front pages.
In order for INVOICES to determine where each invoice begins and ends within multi-image files, there must be a blank page separating the invoices. In addition, you must either:
Process the images in batches. (The blank page is detected automatically.)
If you do not want to use batches, set the DetectBlankPageWhenImportingMultiPage setting in Eiglobal.ini to 1.
Interpret imports multi-image files in order of date, time and name, just as it imports single-image files. Each file is unpacked, and each image is saved as a single file. The new image files receive the same names as the original, but are numbered with incrementing file extensions, beginning with .000, .001, .002, etc. Example. If any original file contains only one image, a new file is still created and given the extension .000.
Then Interpret processes each single-image file as usual.
To display these settings, click Advanced in the Configure image file source and destinations dialog.

Ignore read errors in the multi-image files |
This controls what happens if a multi-image file is readable but individual images within the file are damaged. If this setting is selected, Interpret skips individual damaged images and interprets the good ones. If this setting is not selected, Interpret stops and displays an error message, and writes an error message to the log file. Interpret does not delete the multi-image file, even if you selected Delete multi-image files after import. If a multi-image file is corrupt and cannot be read at all, Interpret moves it to the directory specified by Move files / Error files. |
