Ehcharset.ini

Ehcharset.ini contains character sets and other settings for interpretation of different languages. It also specifies which Microsoft Windows code page is used.

Default location:

If you specified a different directory during installation, you can find the location by checking the GlobalPath setting in Eilocal.ini.

Important: In order for INVOICES to be able to interpret a character that appears on an invoice, the character must be defined for the character set being used. The character set that INVOICES uses when interpreting invoices is specified in the Character set settings in the Invoice profile dialog.

The main initialization files (INI files) that are installed with INVOICES 5-7 are in Unicode format instead of ANSI. Plug-ins used with INVOICES 5-7 must take this into account if they read those INI files. If INVOICES finds an INI file in ANSI format, it converts the INI file to Unicode.
