Ehcharset.ini

Ehcharset.ini contains character sets and other settings for interpretation of different languages. It also specifies which Microsoft Windows code page is used.

Default location:

If you specified a different directory during installation, you can find the location by checking the GlobalPath setting in Eilocal.ini.

Important: In order for Entrance to be able to interpret a character that appears on a document, the character must be defined for the character set being used. The character set that Entrance uses when interpreting documents is specified in the Character set settings in the Document profile dialog.

The main initialization files (INI files) that are installed with ENTRANCE (that is, INVOICES 5-7 or later) are in Unicode format instead of ANSI. Plug-ins used with ENTRANCE must take this into account if they read those INI files. If ENTRANCE finds an INI file in ANSI format, it converts the INI file to Unicode.
