The Line item learning dialog

To access this dialog using Optimize: Select a line item or tax table data object in the Learning dialog.

This dialog shows settings and field values for the current line item template. Use it when:

Header identification
Text	Specifies text as the header type.
Lines	Specifies lines as the header type.
Line item validation
Row validation	Checks each row, during interpretation, to ensure that totals are correct. For example, the quantity is multiplied by the unit price to make sure the row total is calculated correctly. See Line item fields: Validation. Does not apply to tax tables.
Table validation	Checks the sum of all of the rows in the table, during interpretation, to ensure that totals are correct. See Line item fields: Validation. Does not apply to tax tables.

Line item table	Displays the interpreted values of the line item fields. You can right-click a field and: Select Properties to open the Line item field definition dialog and specify the line item field definition settings. Select Set as sub-header to mark a line item field as a sub-header – part of optimizing complex line item tables.
Inactive	Determines whether INVOICES looks for line items on documents that use the current document definition. If you select this setting, documents identified with the current document definition do not display line items in Verify. Note: Starting with Entrance 5-6, an important change was made compared with previous versions: Inactive amount fields, which were previously transferred with the value 0.00, now contain a null value like other kinds of inactive fields, such as text fields.
OK	Saves and validates the line item template.
Cancel	Closes the dialog without saving changes.
