License status report: Overview

Starting with INVOICES 5-8 SP2, INVOICES counts the number of invoices that are used on the license and automatically generates a license status report to provide information on when the license will either expire or run out of licensed invoices. The report is put in a sub folder to the path specified for LogFile= in Eilocal.ini called LicenseStatusReport.

The counter resets itself once a year on the reset date found in the license status report. If problems occur with the counter, it can be reset manually. Contact your support channel for information on how to do this.

The reports are generated by the Interpret module at these intervals:

By volume: When 70%, 80%, 90%, and 95% of the license capacity has been used.

By time: When only 30, 15, and 7 days are left on the license.

When a report is triggered, both Manager and Verify users are notified when each module is opened. An additional warning message is displayed afterwards providing the specifics of why the license status report was triggered (that is, it tells you how much of the license has been used or when the license will expire).

Notifications in connection with the Manager module

Manager module users are notified when an automatic license status report is triggered (based on the limits listed above), and they are prompted to take action.

Notifications in connection with Verify

Verify users are notified when an automatic license status report is triggered (based on the limits listed above) and are prompted to notify the administrator.
