The Field profile dialog: Table validation settings
To access this dialog:
- Using Manager, open the invoice profile.
- If you are going to edit the settings, make sure the invoice profile is inactive.
- Open the field profile.
- Click Table validation.
Use these settings to:
- Specify a simple validation table.
- Validate field values based on the value of another field. (See the overview, too.)
- Translate field values to other values using a table. (See the overview, too.)

| Table type | The type of table to use for field validation. |
| Table name/Table file | The name of the table, or the file name. |
| Data source | The data source, if you selected ODBC connection as the Table type. |
| Use active validation | See separate topic. |
| Connection table | |
| Connect to | The table to use for field validation when the value of one field depends on the value of another. This must be a table that you already created. |
| Via field | The field that controls the value of the current field. |
| Connection 1 | Uses the tables listed in the first column of the connection table to validate the field values. |
| Connection 2 | Uses the tables listed in the second column of the connection table to validate the field values. |
| Translation table | |
| Table | The table that shows how to translate the field values. |
| Translate value when transferred | Translates the value after validation and verification (that is, just before transfer). |
