PROCESSIT Virtual Appliance

PROCESSIT Software is installed in /oracle, including the PROCESSIT Database orcl.

• PROCESSIT Database in /oracle/db
• PROCESSIT SOA Suite in /oracle/as
• PROCESSIT Weblogic in /oracle/middleware

Backup options

Backup the Appliance with VMWare Backup tools

The Software should be shut down for the backup of Database orcl to be valid.

Backup the Software using disk backup tools, offline backup

The Software should be shut down for the backup of Database orcl to be valid

Backup the Software using Oracle Backup Tools, online backup

Set the Database orcl in Archive Log Mode

Be sure to have sufficient Disk Space for archived logs.

Clean out archived logs on a regular basis.

Backup for PROCESIT Ground Up Installation

Backup the PROCESSIT Database as you would any other Oracle Database on site, using the DBA Team's preferred Tool, for instance RMAN.

Backup the PROCESSIT Technology Stack SOA Suite and WebLogic using a backup file tool. You do not need to shut down the SOA Suite and WebLogic to backup the software.
