The Manage custom actions dialog

ClosedTo access this dialog:

  1. Using the XBOUND Management Center, open a console containing the Validation Designer. (For information about working with consoles, see XBOUND Help.)
  2. Under Process Navigation, select a process.
  3. Click the Check out button ().

  4. Select File > Open.
  5. In the Open business rule group or form dialog, select a form to open and click OK.
  6. Select File > Custom actions.

Use these settings to add, edit, or delete custom actions in the current form:

Active

Custom actions can be set to inactive. In this case they are not displayed and executed in Verification.

If selected, the custom action is displayed in Verification and can be executed there.

Name

The name used in Verification when displaying the custom action.

Optional: Define separate names for each user interface language that your Verification operators will be using.

  1. Close the Manage custom actions dialog.

  2. Adjust the Language setting in the toolbar of the work area for forms.

  3. Reopen this dialog and change the Name setting.

The name displayed at runtime depends on the display language selected in Verification.

Business rule

The business rule to be executed by the action in Verification.

Key shortcut

Optional: Enter a keyboard shortcut that can be used to trigger this custom action in Verification.

Note that special keys (such as Enter, Delete, Backspace, or Esc keys) are not available.

Validate

If selected, Verification starts validation after a custom action is executed.

Add

Opens the Choose business logic template dialog, where you can select a business rule template.

Edit

Opens the Configure parameters dialog, where you can edit how the custom action is executed.
