The Edit connections dialog

ClosedTo access this dialog:

  1. Using the XBOUND Management Center, open a console containing the Validation Designer. (For information about working with consoles, see XBOUND Help.)
  2. Under Process Navigation, select a process.
  3. Click the Check out button ().

  4. Select File > Connections.

Use this dialog to manage database connections.

Columns

Display name

Display name of the connection.

Database type

SQL Server, DB2 or Oracle.

Database server

Name of the database server.

Port

Connection port (DB2 only). By default this is set to the standard port for DB2, 50000.

Database name

Name of the database (SQL Server only).

Database schema

The database schema (DB2 only).

Note: The schema must also use the same case sensitivity as is used in the database.

Database user

Name of the user. Needed only if Windows Security or Trusted connection is not used.

Buttons

Add

Opens the Edit connection dialog for creating and testing a database connection.

Edit

Opens the selected connection in the Edit connection dialog.

Duplicate

Duplicates the selected connection and opens it in the Edit connection dialog.

Delete

Deletes the selected connection.
