Using Knowledge Processing improves interpretation of data from fields and makes verifying them easier.
These icons are displayed in the status bar, and they indicate whether the document you are verifying has a matching layout in the Knowledge Processing database:
Knowledge Processing found a layout match and used it to interpret data from the fields on this document.
Knowledge Processing did not find a layout match for this document. This is normally because it is a new document in the system.
Knowledge Processing is supposed to be used for the current document, but there is no connection to the Knowledge Processing database.
Knowledge Processing was not set up to be used for the current document. |
If the ReadSoft Knowledge Processing Service is running, use the instructions below when verifying fields.
If a field was extracted from the wrong location, draw a rectangle around the correct value. Be careful to exclude nearby characters that are not part of the value you want to extract. The next time the system extracts another document with the same layout, it searches for the value in the same location.
If a field was not found because the field is not always found in exactly the same position on the document (for example a postal code in a U.S. address), try to draw a larger rectangle around the value – one that would contain the value no matter how it is positioned.
When a field value is always the same for this variant of the document specification, select
> . The specified value is used in future documents that are the same as this one.Only for character fields: Specify the value that you want the selected field to have for all future documents that are the same variant as this one. Then select
> .Good to know about
:It can only be used on character fields (not date fields, barcode fields, etc.).
A learned value can be "unlearned" by selecting
> again.A learned value is "relearned" if you change the value in Verification at any time in the future. The new value is then used in subsequent documents that are the same as this one.
When you are done working in Verification, save the root document.
