Complex Scripts

For complex scripts, the font must be embedded in the PDF document. Currently, complex scripts are supported in text fields, signature fields, list boxes, and combo boxes. Complex scripts are also supported by de::softpro::doc::SignDocDocument::addText() and de::softpro::doc::SignDocDocument::addWatermark() but not by de::softpro::doc::SignDocDocument::addTextRect() and for FreeText annotations.

When adding text using complex scripts, the font used for the text must either

• be a TrueType font already embedded in the PDF document (the Subtype must be TrueType or Type0 with a CIDFontType2 descendant) or
• be embedded (completely or with subsetting) from a file.
