Use this tab to view and edit device information or to add a device manually to Kofax Front Office Server.
Type the device IP address and click Discover to retrieve information about the device from the network. If the system can discover the device on the network, the system automatically populates the fields with the device information as it is added to Kofax Front Office Server. If some of the information cannot be retrieved, or if the device cannot be discovered on the network, enter the information in the fields. All fields are required except for Description.
When the device information is complete, use the Save button to add the device to Kofax Front Office Server.
Tip Device discovery relies on Apple's Bonjour service. Bonjour uses UDP messaging, so if you experience problems with device discovery, make sure that UDP is enabled on your network.
Enter the IP address of the device.
Note Enter IPv6 addresses enclosed in brackets.
Enter the machine address of the device. If you use the Discover command, the system populates this field when the device is discovered.
Enter the host name for the device. If you use the Discover command, the system populates this field when the device is discovered.
Enter the full name of the device. This is the name that is displayed in the Available Devices column when you associated devices with Device Profiles. If you use the Discover command, the system populates this field when the device is discovered.
Enter the model name and number of the device. Kofax Front Office Server uses this information to determine what features are available. If you use the Discover command, the system populates this field when the device is discovered.
