To save DOCX, XLSX and PPTX files (for Microsoft Office 2007/2010/2013 Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and to use EMC Documentum, Dropbox or Evernote connectors you need Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0. If it is not detected, it is installed with the product. The Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 can be installed on Windows XP (it is usually part of Windows 7 and 8).
General Notes
Conversions of XPS documents into editable formats and PDF-XPS do not require having any additional component installed on the computer.
Performance and speed will be enhanced if your computer’s processor, memory, and available disk space exceed minimum requirements. This is especially true when converting very large color PDF files. Hyper-thread enabled or multi-processor systems can deliver better performance.
Conversion to different editable formats can be performed whether or not the target applications are installed on your system. However, to use the results, you need the applications associated to the target file types you want to use (for example Microsoft Word XP (SP3), Microsoft Word 2003 (SP1) for .doc files, the same versions of Microsoft Excel for .xls files, Microsoft Office 2007/2010 (SP1) for DOCX, XLSX and PPTX files and Corel WordPerfect X3 and v14 for .wpd files). If the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for an earlier Office product is installed on your computer, the Office 2007 output files can be opened in an earlier Office version.
To get full PDF Portfolio support, a Flash player component has to be installed on the computer.
Internet browser support for creating, viewing and unlocking PDF files is provided in Internet Explorer (8 to 11). PDF file unlocking is available in Mozilla Firefox (up to version 33) and PDF viewing in Google Chrome (up to version 38)
Mailing system support (PDF creation, unlocking and message archiving) is available in Microsoft Outlook and IBM Lotus Notes (version 8.5)
Cloud-based storage can be accessed with the Nuance Cloud Connector, Evernote and Dropbox.
