The COM FieldChar object

Example

Description

This object allows you to access and manipulate data associated with one character in an interpreted field. The FieldChars of a field are preserved for access until the field is Complete or until the number of characters in the field changes.

Normally a FieldChar object represents an uninterpretable character in a Field. If you need a FieldChar for each character in a Field, then you must specify this in the Field dialog. Select Save interpret information on the Advanced tab. If Save interpret information is not selected, the field char objects saved represent uninterpretable characters.
