Verify Documents activity

Note: Do not confuse this activity with the RCF Verification activity.

This activity is used to configure how operators will verify and correct the structure of documents in the Document Verifier.

If for some reason you need to add this activity to the Process Designer, the file to add is xboundActQuality.dll.

The following settings are available when configuring a process step of this activity type.

Settings tab

Show dialog on document separation

When you create a new document using the New Document button (), you can specify some settings for the new document. The New Document dialog is displayed. If this option is not selected, the new document is saved with default settings.

Retain current document name

The name of the document that was selected in the Document Manager is kept as the name of the new document.

Increment document name

The name of the document that was selected in the Document Manager is adopted and extended by an underscore and a sequence number.

Allow canceling documents

You can cancel documents in the Document Verifier.

Allow canceling all media of a sheet

You can cancel all media belonging to a sheet in the Document Verifier.

Allow canceling single media

You can cancel individual media in the Document Verifier.

Do not allow media to be edited

Select to disable operations (such as rotating) that change media.

Do not allow moving objects to another root document

Select to disable moving sub-documents and media to another root document.

Do not allow creating new sub-documents

Select to disable creating new documents using the New Document button ().

Rotation mode

Select whether to rotate all media of the current page, all media of the current sheet, or only the current medium. (See sheet vs. page.)

Show Document Manager after check-in

After saving, the Document Manager is displayed to select the next documents. (See Selecting and opening documents for processing.)

The following media must be inspected

Select to enforce a visual inspection of all media of the selected types before the root document can be checked in.

Shortcuts tab

Use the settings on this tab to configure keyboard shortcuts for the Document Verifier.

Change the shortcut for a certain function by applying the shortcut to the text field of the desired function. Reset the shortcut by clicking Reset.  

A list of the shortcuts is available in the Document Verifier by opening the Shortcut Information dialog.

Classify tab

Limitation of classifiable document types

Select to restrict which document types are available for classification. In other words, choose which document types can be assigned to the documents. To do so, select the document types that you want users to be able to select, and then click Add.

Separation sequence selection

This setting gives you the ability to manually add a separator anywhere in the root document or in a sub-document. (Instructions.)

These settings are also available:

Import button

Imports settings from an XML file that was previously created using Export.

Export button

Exports the settings to an XML file. Specify the file name and location. You can then import the XML file to get the same settings. See Exporting and importing process step settings.

Check regular expression link

Opens a test form, where you can (when applicable) check a regular expression.
