Rerouting documents manually

The documents (tasks) can be rerouted in the process so that certain steps are skipped or repeated.

  1. Display your documents (tasks) in the Process Monitor. You can also search for documents.

  2. In Documents area, select one or more items in the list. (To select multiple items, hold the Ctrl or Shift key while selecting them, or select all items by pressing Ctrl+A).

  3. Right-click the selected item(s) and select Route to and then the process step (even a previous step) that you want to send them to.

Alternatively, select Route to > Not assigned.

Tip: You can change the order in which the process steps are listed by selecting Sort alphabetically ().

Note: If the new process step is preceded by a process rule that changes document fields (described here), you will be prompted to specify what to do (change the document fields, leave the fields as they are, or cancel the move). Likewise, if the new process step is preceded by a process rule that changes quick access values (match codes – described here), you will be prompted to specify what to do (change the values, leave the values as they are, or cancel the move).
