What's new

This section describes the new features and enhancements included in Tungsten Copitrak Desktop Suite 4.0.0.

• Reliability and performance improvements

  Change the inter-process communication protocol from AMQP to Named Pipes to avoid the need for Message Queue server which was a source of some performance and reliability issues in the past.

• Installer improvements

  Replace the bootstrapper style installer with standard windows installer. As a result of this major change, only one item appears in Programs and Features. Only one installer is needed to install/uninstall/change/upgrade Copitrak Desktop Suite using silent mode with command line parameters or standard windows installer wizard UI.

• Product rebranding

  The product and documentation is updated to Tungsten Copitrak Desktop Suite to align with Tungsten Automation Corporation as the name of the company that provides Copitrak Desktop. Prior to 2024, Tungsten Automation was known as Kofax, Inc.
