Document Conversion tab
Use this tab to configure the parameters that determine the tools to use for document conversion.
- MS Office and selected Open Office documents
- Select the tool to use for converting Microsoft Office, plain text and Open Office (ODT, ODS and ODP only) documents to
PDF. If
<disabled> is selected, no conversion is performed for these documents. Following tools are available:

- MHTML and HTML documents
- Select the tool to use for converting MHTML and HTML documents to PDF. If
<disabled> is selected, no conversion is performed for these documents. Following tools are available:

- EML files
- Select the tool to use for converting email to PDF body with message header. (Default: KFXConverter)
- Following tools are available:

- Image to TIFF
-
Select the ImageMagick version for converting the image files to TIFF format. Following options are available:

ImageMagick-32Bit

ImageMagick-64Bit (Default)
Note For a 64-bit operating system, you can select ImageMagick-32Bit or ImageMagick-64Bit. For a better performance, we recommend that you select ImageMagick-64Bit on a 64-bit operating system. -
- MS Office user
- Select a Windows user account for Microsoft Office DCOM automation (necessary for document conversion via Microsoft
Office).
Note This account is only required on Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista or higher operating systems versions.

Interactive user: The user must be logged on to the Message Connector computer. During document conversion, the Office windows can be seen opening and closing. This mode is useful for advanced troubleshooting.

Current configuration: The Office applications starts with the user account which is specified in DCOM Config tool.

This user: Allows you to type a name and password directly.

- PDF to PDF/A conversion engine
- Select the tool for normalizing PDF documents to PDF/A. If a conversion error occurs with the Legacy (Limited support) option, use the Standard (Recommended) option for document conversion. (Default: Standard)
- Name
- Type a Microsoft Office DCOM user name. For productive mode with no one logged in, it is necessary to specify an administrator user.
- Password
- Type a password for the Microsoft Office DCOM user.
- Custom extension list
- Type a blank separated list of extensions for file types that can be converted to PDF using a custom script.

The script (CustomToPdf.bat) must be available in the Scripts subfolder.

Each conversion tool produces the desired output in a different way. As a result, if you switch to another conversion tool, your converted documents may look somewhat different.
