Log On to Server Window

Use this window to access a Kofax Search and Matching Server in order to maintain fuzzy databases for use with another Kofax application.

Server name

Type the name by which the local area network identifies the computer that runs a stand-alone Search and Matching Server or a Load Balancer that manages a cluster of several Search and Matching Servers. Alternatively, you can type the IP address, or if the Search and Matching Server or Load Balancer is installed on your local computer type "localhost." You can search for all available servers within your local network by clicking Search Servers icon. Click the Down Arrow to select a server from the list.

Server port

If needed, change the port number that is used for communication with the Kofax Search and Matching Server. By default, the port number for a stand-alone Search and Matching Server is set to 22000 and the default port number for a Load Balancer is set to 22001, but must correspond to the configured value for the server or load balancer.

User name

This is the user name that is added to the local or domain "KSMS Administrators" user group, configured during installation.

Note Contact your system administrator for details about a valid log on account.
Password

This is the password that corresponds to the user name in order to log on to the Kofax Search and Matching Server.

Domain

This is the domain name for the inserted user in order to log on to the Kofax Search and Matching Server. The domain name is automatically displayed if you are logged on to the computer as a domain user.

Tip To manually add a domain, preface the user name with the domain name. For example, Domain\User. The manually entered domain will appear in the domains list.

Connect

Connects and logs on to the selected Kofax Search and Matching Server using the supplied login information.
